What is tallow? Tallow is rendered animal fat that can be made from beef, goat, sheep and deer fat; these are the most common. Rendering animal fat is a natural process that causes the oils to melt away from tissue when heated. Tallow is the liquid oil left behind; as it cools it becomes a solid and appears as an oil block.

Our skincare tallow is grass fed beef fat that is rendered multiple times until the color is close to white when it cools. It's then mixed with an oil that is beneficial to skin and other ingredients such as beeswax, arrowroot and an essential oil.
